Mybrand began with a simple observation: there is no shortage of fishing information online, but much of it is scattered, outdated or written for people who already know the jargon. We wanted a single, reliable place where a newcomer could learn the essentials and a regular angler could refresh their knowledge.
We are not a tackle shop, a tour operator or a government body. We are independent writers and anglers who test the advice we share. When we describe a technique, a spot or a piece of gear, we describe what we have actually tried and what we have learned from the wider angling community.
What we do
Our site focuses on practical, honest guidance. We cover the main styles of angling found in Ireland — salmon, trout, sea and coarse fishing — along with the licences, seasons, safety and ethics that go with them. Every article is written to stand on its own and to help you make a better decision before you head out.
We deliberately avoid promising guaranteed results. Fishing depends on weather, water, timing and a fair amount of luck. What we can promise is clear, accurate information that gives you the best possible chance of a good day out.
Our mission
